Hey Fans!!!

Well, the legend continues......and the tribute continues to grow and so does the collection.

I hope you are enjoying the website.  I am sure you are probably wondering........ why?  Well I can't blame you.  I have been a Mickey Rivers fan for over 30 years and I guess that can be considered some kind of sickness or maybe it qualifies me to be regarded as clinically insane.  I always enjoyed the way he played the game of baseball.  He worked hard, laughed, enjoyed the excitement, set the table for some great teams, and never took himself, or anyone else for that matter, too seriously.  

His life off of the field has been a mix of urban legend and folklore.  He might very well be one of the most misunderstood men of the game in modern history.  Nevertheless...I've have been a Rivers fan because of what he brought to the game of baseball and what he left behind.  Players today don't always hustle or have fun and Mick did plenty of both.  

I would like to thank many of Mickey's family members for enabling me to extend my youth.  I would also like to thank USA Today, Boston Baseball Magazine, Simply Baseball Notebook, ESPN.COM, and MLB.COM radio for featuring this website in the scope of their work.
